. The Traditional village Pefki. There, there are caves of Neolithic times, the gorge of Pefki, as well as the restored traditional settlement “Aspros Potamos”
. Agio Stefano, where you can visit the ruins of the fortress “Fortetsa”, that appears to be built above the ruins of a geometric citadel. 
. Stavrochori, with natural water source and the old watermills. Here you can walk in the "Path of Pirates" that passes from the abandoned village Tsikalaria, a beautiful nature seekers way. 
. The village Orino, landscape with pines and rocks and a marvelous gorge. It allocates mountaineering shelter and nature seekers ways, as well as old churches, among them the Agio Dimitrios from the 12th century.
. Abbey Kapsa, in the east side at the exit of the gorge, built in the abrupt rock. The view of Libyan Seas from the Abbey is astonishing. 
Makrigialos is not far away from the three towns of the prefecture of Lasithi: 33km from Sitia with its unique in Europe palm forest Vai, 24km from Ierapetra and from 56km from Agio Nikolaos. These three beautiful cities are worth visiting.
