The capital of Sifnos is built in the
inland and it spreads amphitheatrically on three hills. The cobblestone
streets pass among beautiful white cycladic houses and churches (Panaghia
Geraniofora, Aghios Sozon, Aghios Spyridon). In the central square of the
village there is a popular art museum. Apollonia is also the commercial
centre of Sifnos. A delightful walking route is from Apollonia to Artemonas
through the picturesque settlement called Pano Petali. South-west of Apollonia,
there is the privately-owned area of Theologos Mougos with the homonymous
